Editor's read
All three bags share the basics: a 55cm polycarbonate hard shell, eight 360° wheels, a combination lock and a 3-year warranty. The differences the listings state are the Safari's laptop compartment, the Aristocrat's lined, compartmented interior, and American Tourister's statement that it tests for impact, drops, wheels, zippers and handles.

Editor's take
If you carry a laptop through airport security, buy the Safari Genius: its laptop and document section is the only one on this page. Otherwise choose between the Barcelona and the Aristocrat on the details their listings give: the Barcelona's stated testing and mounted lock, or the Aristocrat's lined, compartmented interior.

How we picked these trolley bags
Every pick on this page is matched to its exact Amazon India listing, and the specifications, warranty terms and features on each card come from that listing; a brand's own claims are attributed to the brand. We don't physically test the products in our guides, and we don't link to Amazon search results. Prices shown come from Amazon's data with the time they were fetched; the price at checkout can differ.
Our editorial process is one person — Bikram, based in Pune. The order of products on this page reflects our editorial ranking only. No brand paid for a place in this ranking. Each ranked pick earns us money only through its Amazon affiliate link — clicking through earns a small commission, your price stays identical.
Buying trolley bags in India — what to check
- Warranty:check that the listing states an Indian warranty and what it covers. Imported (grey-market) units may not be serviced by the brand's Indian service centres.
- Delivery and returns: Amazon shows the delivery date for your pincode and the return policy on each product page. Check both before ordering, especially if it is a gift or needed by a date.
- Keep the invoice: some brands ask you to register the product after purchase. Keep the Amazon invoice and read the warranty card that comes in the box.
What to Look For
- 1.Size: all three are listed as 55cm cabin bags. Airlines set their own cabin size and weight limits, and the weight limit includes the bag, so check your airline's rules and the item weight in the listing's product details before you fly.
- 2.Wheels: all three have eight wheels working as 360° spinners (American Tourister calls them double wheels, Safari and Aristocrat dual spinners), so you can push the bag upright beside you instead of tilting and dragging it.
- 3.Lock: the Barcelona has a mounted combination lock, the Safari a recessed one and the Aristocrat a built-in one. None of the three listings describes its lock as TSA-approved, which matters if you fly to or within the US.
- 4.Storage: only the Safari Genius has a laptop and document compartment. The Aristocrat lists a fully lined interior with packing compartments; the Barcelona's listing doesn't describe its interior.
- 5.Warranty: all three list 3 years. American Tourister and Safari describe theirs as a global warranty across 120+ countries, and Safari says its cover is against manufacturing defects. Keep your invoice for any claim.
- 6.Handle: the Safari and Aristocrat list a push-button trolley handle; the Barcelona's listing doesn't describe its handle.
