Best Shower Curtain in India 2026 — 6ft, 7ft Waterproof Polyester & PVC Picks
By Bikram Nath · Updated 2026-10-02 · How we pick · Affiliate disclosure: links earn a small commission
What's the best shower curtain to buy in India?
Our top shower curtain pick is the Encasa XO 6 x 6 ft waterproof polyester curtain, with 12 rust-proof C-hooks, machine washing and a fabric Encasa says resists mold and mildew in humid weather. For the lowest price, the CASA-NEST embossed PVC curtain is 7 ft long but only 4.5 ft wide.
The trade-off: the PVC curtain wipes clean with a damp cloth, while the four polyester picks here go in the washing machine. Match the drop to your rod height: the CASA-NEST and Encasa printed curtains are 7 ft long, and the other three are 6 ft.

Editor's read
Polyester and PVC suit different habits: the polyester picks here are machine washable and pitched as mildew-resistant, while the CASA-NEST PVC curtain is listed as wipe-clean. Check the hook count too: the Encasa grey and Amazon Basics curtains include 12 hooks, the other two Encasa curtains 10, and the CASA-NEST 8 rings.

Editor's take
For most bathrooms, the Encasa XO grey is the pick: 12 rust-proof hooks, machine washing and a fabric pitched against mold and mildew. Choose a 7 ft curtain (the Encasa printed or CASA-NEST) if your rod sits high, the Encasa white if you want full opacity, and the CASA-NEST PVC if price matters most.

How we picked these shower curtains
Every pick on this page is matched to its exact Amazon India listing, and the specifications, warranty terms and features on each card come from that listing; a brand's own claims are attributed to the brand. We don't physically test the products in our guides, and we don't link to Amazon search results. Prices shown come from Amazon's data with the time they were fetched; the price at checkout can differ.
Our editorial process is one person — Bikram, based in Pune. The order of products on this page reflects our editorial ranking only. No brand paid for a place in this ranking. Each ranked pick earns us money only through its Amazon affiliate link — clicking through earns a small commission, your price stays identical.
Buying shower curtains in India — what to check
- Warranty:check that the listing states an Indian warranty and what it covers. Imported (grey-market) units may not be serviced by the brand's Indian service centres.
- Delivery and returns: Amazon shows the delivery date for your pincode and the return policy on each product page. Check both before ordering, especially if the shower curtain is a gift or needed by a date.
- Keep the invoice: some brands ask you to register the product after purchase. Keep the Amazon invoice and read the warranty card that comes in the box.
What to Look For
- 1.Match the size to your rod and space: measure the rod length for width and the rod height for drop. The picks here run from 4.5 ft wide (CASA-NEST) to 6 ft wide (Encasa grey, Amazon Basics), with 6 ft or 7 ft drops.
- 2.Polyester vs PVC: the four polyester curtains here are machine washable and pitched as mildew-resistant; the CASA-NEST PVC curtain is the cheapest pick and wipes clean with a damp cloth instead.
- 3.Hook count: the Encasa grey and Amazon Basics curtains include 12 hooks, the Encasa printed and white curtains 10, and the CASA-NEST 8 rings.
- 4.Mildew: look for 'mildew resistant' or 'quick dry' in the listing; all four polyester picks here say they resist mildew. Wash fabric curtains regularly, and leave any curtain spread out to dry after a shower.
- 5.Weighted hem: a weighted hem keeps the curtain from billowing inward during a shower; the Amazon Basics curtain lists one.
- 6.Privacy: the Encasa white is listed as fully opaque, the Amazon Basics is semi-sheer, and the CASA-NEST pebble-pattern PVC lets light through, so pick by how much privacy you need.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I replace a shower curtain in Indian climate?
None of the listings here give a replacement interval. Replace a curtain when mould spots return after washing, it tears at the hooks, or it no longer keeps water in. Polyester curtains like the Encasa and Amazon Basics picks can be machine washed, which helps keep them in use longer.
Will a fabric shower curtain stop water from spilling onto bathroom floor?
A water-repellent polyester curtain keeps most spray inside if it hangs inside the tub or shower area: Encasa says water beads up and slides off its grey curtain. A weighted hem, as on the Amazon Basics curtain, helps stop it billowing inward.
Can I wash a polyester shower curtain in the washing machine?
Yes for the polyester picks here: all four Encasa and Amazon Basics curtains are listed as machine washable. Follow the care label and hang the curtain to dry. The CASA-NEST PVC curtain is listed as wipe-clean instead.
Do I need a separate shower curtain liner in Indian bathrooms?
Not usually for the curtains here: the polyester picks are water-repellent, and Amazon Basics says its curtain can be used with or without a liner. Liners matter more for decorative fabric curtains that are not water-resistant.
What is the top pick in PakkaPick's “Best Shower Curtain in India” guide?
The top pick in PakkaPick's “Best Shower Curtain in India” guide is the Encasa XO Waterproof Polyester Shower Curtain, 6 x 6 ft, with 12 Hooks (ZZ Light Grey). Our top pick: a 6 x 6 ft water-repellent polyester curtain with 12 rust-proof hooks, machine washable and pitched for humid bathrooms.
What should I look for when buying a shower curtain?
- Key factors: Match the size to your rod and space: measure the rod length for width and the rod height for drop. The picks here run from 4.5 ft wide (CASA-NEST) to 6 ft wide (Encasa grey, Amazon Basics), with 6 ft or 7 ft drops.
- Polyester vs PVC: the four polyester curtains here are machine washable and pitched as mildew-resistant; the CASA-NEST PVC curtain is the cheapest pick and wipes clean with a damp cloth instead.
- Hook count: the Encasa grey and Amazon Basics curtains include 12 hooks, the Encasa printed and white curtains 10, and the CASA-NEST 8 rings.
How long does Amazon India take to deliver shower curtains?
Delivery time depends on your pincode and the seller. Amazon shows the delivery date for your pincode on each product page before checkout, so check it there for the pick you choose.
Are these shower curtains available with No-Cost EMI on Amazon India?
EMI and No-Cost EMI options depend on the product, the seller and your card. Amazon lists the options available for your payment method on the product page and at checkout.
Can I return shower curtains on Amazon if they don't work as expected?
Return and replacement terms are set per product and seller on Amazon.in. Check the return policy shown on the product page before you order, and keep the invoice for any warranty claim.
